The Toronto Blue Jays have found a home in the United States. Major League Baseball’s lone team in Canada was not allowed to play in the country.

The Blue Jays staff and management had to rush to find a new home. Toronto officials said they would not allow the team to play in the country after traveling to the United States due to the coronavirus.

Toronto will now play their games at PNC Park, the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The majority of the games will be played in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

However, when the team does have a scheduling conflict, the Blue Jays will have to find a new home to accommodate those games.

The Blue Jays has just days to find a new home, as they were considering their Triple-A affiliate in Buffalo, New York. The team also considered their sorting training home in Dunedin, Florida.

Being that those venues are minor league facilities, they do not have the perks of a Major League facility. That’s likely why they made the move to play in Pittsburgh.

The Blue Jays begin their 60-game season this week like the rest of Major League Baseball. Toronto will have 30 “home” games that will be away from their traditional home at the Rogers Centre.

At this time, it’s not clear exactly where the Blue Jays will play when there is a scheduling conflict with the Pirates. The team will make that announcement at a later date, as they cram to find a home for those games.
