According to ABC 7 in Los Angeles, California, there was a shooting death at an illegal street race in Hollywood early Sunday morning. A 17-year-old has been identified by her family as Alejandra “Ale” Estrada.

She was a bystander, according to the report, when a shooting took place. The authorities believe that there was some type of argument between a group of individuals that led to a gun being pulled.

The shooting took place near Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, according to Los Angeles Police Department. They said that the incident happened just after midnight.

While the authorities were investigating these shootings, they were called to the area of 223rd Street and Figueroa around 3:45 am, where they found a man was in possession of a gun. He has been identified as Roman Roque Monreal of El Paso, Texas.

The investigation was able to link Monreal to the shooting at the street race several hours earlier. He has been charged with murder and has a bail at $3 million.

Social media video helped the authorities in their investigation to locate Monreal. There has been a GoFundMe established to help the family pay for her funeral service.

“A few hours ago, we were given the worst news we have ever received,” the GoFundMe message said. “Ale was only 17 and was barley getting her life started. She was one of a kid and the life of the party. Yesterday, around midnight, Ale was caught in a crossfire at a car show and was shot and killed instantly. This hit everybody by surprise. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time and unfortunately, it cost her her life. “She will forever live in our hearts. My family wants to give her the burial service she deserves; however, if you can’t donate, please keep my family in your prayers. Thank you.”
