The Whipsnakes were in trouble. The Chaos mounted a four-goal lead heading into the fourth quarter.
That’s when things changed. The Whipsnakes went on an impressive streak to win 12-6 at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah.

With the win, the Whipsnakes — who were the top seed in the playoffs —went undefeated on the short season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Whipsnakes scored 10 straight goals, including several goals in less than two minutes in the fourth quarter, to get the win. The Whipsnakes have won back-to-back Premier Lacrosse League Championships.
Zed Williams was named the MVP of the game. He had six goals overall, including five in the fourth quarter.
Matt Rambo — the 2019 Finals MVP — had one goal in the Championship game. He defeated his roommate Blaze Riorden — the Chaos goalie — for the goal.
Rambo and Riorden are close friends. They also play together on the Philadelphia Wings.
John Haus, Jay Carlson, Joe LoCascio, Mike Chanenchuk, and Brad Smith also scored for the Whipsnakes.
Whipsnakes goalie Kyle Berniohr had 16 saves in the game. He allowed six goals.
He allowed three goals in the first period. Then, he allowed three combined goals in the second and third period.
Chaos were led by Josh Byrne, who had a team-high two goals. Dhane Smith, Austin Staats, Kevin Buchanan, and Miles Thompson also scored a goal each.
Riorden had 14 saves in net as the Chaos goalie. He also allowed the 12 goals.
He allowed nine goals in the fourth quarter. Riorden also allowed one goal in the third quarter and two goals in the first quarter.
