The Denver Broncos may have lost a key piece of their defense for the season. Von Miller likely suffered a season-ending injury.
Miller was injured in a freak accident on the final play of practice on Tuesday. He injured a tendon in his ankle that will require surgery.
Once he has surgery, he will be lost for the entire 2020 season.
This is a tough blow for the Broncos. He was the team’s best player on defense.
He was reportedly a beast in training camp before this injury. It’ll be tough for the team to replace his presence on the defense during the upcoming season.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that Miller was virtually unblockable.
Bradley Chubb would have been a candidate to replace Miller. However, the former first-round draft pick, is sidelined, as he recovers from a torn ACL that he suffered from the 2019 season.
At this time, the team is not sure when Chubb will be able to play again.
Denver had a blizzard on Tuesday. Yes, that’s so 2020 when the temperature was nearly 100 degrees on Labor Day.
Due to the snow outside, the Broncos practiced inside today. The team was not wearing pads when the injury happened, as they were practicing in shells, according to Schefter.
