The Los Angeles Rams have re-signed wide receiver Cooper Kupp on Saturday. He is now tied to the organization through the 2023 season.

The three-year extension means that he could earn up to $48 million. Kupp was entering the final year of his rookie deal.

He is slated to make $2.13 million for the 2020 season. The extension then will kick in for the 2021 season.

Kupp will have an average of $16 million per season for the 2021, 2022, and 2013 seasons. With this extension, he will be paid like a Top 12 wide receiver in the league.

With Brandin Cooks no longer in the picture, Kupp should continue to be a primary target for Jared Goff. He has set himself up for another massive extension in his age-31 season should he continue to develop into a top receiver for the Rams.

Kupp was a third-round draft pick by the Rams in the 2017 NFL Draft. He had his best season of his career last season.

In 2019, he appeared in 16 games, including 14 starts. He had 94 receptions for 1,161 yards and 10 receptions.

He also had two carries for four yards.

With Kupp’s career season, he led the Rams with his 94 receptions, 1,161 receiving yards and the 10 touchdowns.

Kupp and Robert Woods both had 1,000 receiving yards on the season. Woods had 1,134 receiving yards.

In his young NFL career, he has made 39 appearances, including 28 starts. He has had 196 receptions for 2,596 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Kupp also has had six carries for 29 yards.
