Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley has been arrested at his residence in Minnesota. The authorities took him into custody.
At this time, he is reportedly facing several charges that include receiving and concealing stolen property. In addition, he is facing a charge of marijuana possession.
“We’re aware of the situation with Malik and are gathering more information,” Timberwolves coach Ryan Saunders said Sunday morning.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania and John Krawczynski broke the news that Beasley was taken into custody on Saturday night. He was reportedly held without bail at the time at Hennepin County Jail until he saw a judge.
Within the next 24 hours, he will be able to see a judge.
“At the time of the incident, multiple individuals were present at the residence,” Beasley’s attorney Steve Haney said. “The allegations against Malik will be defended vigorously.”
The authorities, according to a Plymouth Police Department press release, were called to the residence just before 3 am local time due to a report of a weapons offense. The victims – who reportedly called the cops – said that a man just walked up to their vehicle while they were stopped outside of the residence in question.
The man reportedly tapped on the window and then pointed a gun at them. In addition, the man even told the victims to get off of his property.
The victims also said that the man pointed a gun at their vehicle when they were leaving. Once the police arrived in the area, they put up a perimeter to look for the alleged victims.
They polled over three occupants, who were trying to leave the residence. After speaking with these three, the police later released these individuals.
Yet, a man was reportedly yelling at the officers and said he was the owner of the property in question. It turns out the man, who was yelling at the officers, is Beasley.
The police then requested a search warrant. Once it was approved, they found marijuana and ‘numerous’ guns, including one that was reportedly stolen. Beasley was then arrested.

The Timberwolves have been doing off-season training, but Saunders said that Beasley was not with the team this past week. He is a restricted-free agent.
He was acquired in a February 5, 2020 deal that involved four teams. He was traded with Juancho Hernangómez, Evan Turner, and Jarred Vanderbilt to the Timberwolves.
Robert Covington, Jordan Bell, and a second-round draft pick went to the Houston Rockets. Clint Capela and fellow big man Nenê (real name Nenê Hilário) were traded to the Atlanta Hawks.
Gerald Green, Noah Vonleh, Keita Bates-Diop, Shabazz Napier, and a first-round pick were swapped to the Denver Nuggets.
