Steve Torrence is having one heck of a week. The Capco Contractors Top Fuel Dragster pilot won the 51st annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida.
The Kilgore, Texas native won his first event since winning the Dodge NHRA Indy Nationals presented by Pennzoil since August 9th at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana. This was his third win on the season for Torrence, as he also won the NHRA Arizona Nationals in February before the coronavirus pandemic.
On Wednesday, Natalie Torrence announced that she was expecting. She also announced that the couple were having a girl.
“To day that I am excited is an understatement!,” Natalie Torrence wrote on Facebook. “It is an absolute blessing that God has given us a child. Baby Girl Torrence [is] coming in April 2021.”
Several NHRA personalities congratulated the couple following the announcement. Among them were Andie Rawlings, Amanda Busick, Chris Clontz and Kelly Clontz, Summer Pendland — who is engaged to Tony Schumacher, Richard Freeman, Mike Bucher, Bill Skillman, Chris Smith, and others.
In May, Torrence and the former Natalie Jahnke were married in a ceremony in Texas. They were able to get married in Texas, which were able to host gatherings, while other states were dealing with restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“My brother,” Top Fuel Dragster pilot Antron Brown said on Instagram dated May 9th. “What a beautiful day, beautiful bride, beautiful new family, congratulations to you and Nat Dog love you both ❤️🙏🏾#married #takingtorrence”
