Krista Baldwin is now a Top Fuel Dragster pilot. She received her license on Monday at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in Madison, Illinois.
She made her license passes in her grandfather’s Top Fuel Dragster.
Chris “The Greek” Karamesines qualified for his first race of the season on Saturday at the ninth annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals presented by Pennzoil. The 89-year-old (his age is debated) qualified 10th.

He was then eliminated during eliminations by Billy Torrence.
Several familiar faces including Austin Prock, Jimmy Prock, Bobby Lagana, and others helped Baldwin receive her license on Monday. Now, “The Greek’s” granddaughter can take his Top Fuel Dragster for a pass down a track in the near future.
“Congrats to our girl Krista Baldwin on getting her Top Fuel license today,” Paul Lee Racing said on their Facebook page. “We’re so proud of her. Thanks to everyone in this picture for helping make her dream come true!”
Baldwin — who owns a Top Alcohol Dragster operation — has been working for Lee through McLeod Racing as their Creative Director. She has been working for Lee since she graduated Northern Arizona University.
According to her LinkedIn page, her job ‘concentrates on all things marketing including advertisements, public relations, graphic design, sponsorships, and community outreach.’ Baldwin has been driving under Krista Baldwin Racing LLC since 2012.
Several years ago, she purchased her own Top Alcohol Dragster operation from Anthony Cicero.
Right now, Leah Pruett — who was involved in a bad crash on Sunday — is the lone female driver in the sport. Brittany Force and Audrey Worm are also licensed in the category.
Force will be back in 2021. John Force Racing has taken a hiatus due to the coronavirus.

Ashley Sanford and the former Jenna Haddock also piloted a Top Fuel Dragster in the NHRA within the past 10 years. Haddock is now known as Jenna Merlino.
When Worm comes out again, she will be working with Merlino and Ashley Fye on her own Top Fuel Dragster operation. She previously purchased her own Top Fuel Dragster.
