Both men have been listed in stable, but serious condition at a local hospital.

Knox Jr. has not been arrested at this time. He is facing two counts of attempted homicide; two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of recklessly endangering another person.

These are five of the seven charges that he is facing.

“The club obviously takes these matters extremely seriously and each member of the organization fully understands the moral expectation and obligation that comes with the privilege of representing the Toronto Argonauts,” the team said in a statement. “At this time, the club respects each person’s right to a fair process. In this case, the Toronto Argonauts will not determine any potential team-related consequences until the club has conducted all due diligence in this matter.”

The 28-year-old has played six seasons in the Canadian Football League. The team did not play in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In his six years in the league, he has played for three teams.
