The Tennessee Titans have released defensive end Vic Beasley. He lasted just five games in a Titans uniform.
He signed a one-year deal with the team in the off-season. He signed for $9.5 million.
The 28-year-old Adairsville, Georgia native had problems in training camp, where he did not report. It was not clear why he did not report to the team’s camp.

He was added to the reserve/did not report list on July 28, 2020. Then, he reported to the team on August 7th, before being moved to the team’s active roster.
Beasley then was placed on the active/non-football injury list on August 11th. Nearly one month later, he was activated by the Titans.
With the Titans, he had just three tackles, including one tackle for a loss in five games. He also had one forced fumble.

The former 8th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Falcons saw action in 38 defensive snaps in a 31-20 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on November 1st. He appeared in 52% of the defensive snaps, which was the highest amount of the season.
Only twice did Beasley go over 40% of the defensive snaps. Besides the 38 defensive snaps against the Bengals, he had 30 defensive snaps (42%) in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills on a 42-16 rare Tuesday night game on October 13th.
In his career, he has appeared in 83 games, including 60 starts. Beasley had 159 tackles, including 37 tackles for a loss and 46 quarterback hits.

He also has had one interception, 12 forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, including two returned for a touchdown; and 12 pass deflections.
