NASCAR has suspended owner-driver Josh Reaume indefinitely. He is an owner-driver in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.

The governing body said that Reaume made a social media post online that they flagged. It’s not clear what might have been said or done by the driver.

He has been suspended for violating Sections 12.1 and 12.8.1.2 in the NASCAR Rule Book. The violation is from a “public statement and/or communication that criticizes, ridicules, or otherwise disparages another person based upon that person’s race, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, or handicapping condition.”

The California-born driver appeared in 12 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series in 2020. He also appeared in two NASCAR Xfinity Series events.

Reaume has appeared in 35 NASCAR Xfinity Series from 2014 through 2020. His best career finish was at the 2015 Alert Today Florida 300 on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

He finished 23rd in the car in his Obaika Racing entry for Victor Obaika. Reaume has appeared in 52 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series from 2013 through 2020.

He only has one Top 10 as he finished sixth in the 2019 NextEra Energy 250 in the TheChallengeBook.com entry for Josh Reaume Racing on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Daytona International Speedway, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Reaume is the second NASCAR driver to be suspended indefinitely this year for social media posts.

Trump supporter Mike Wallace made social media posts that got him in hot water, too. Wallace has lost his appeal so far.

It’s not clear what is the next domino in that case.
