UFC competitor Rafael dos Anjos defeated Paul Felder, who committed to the fight on short notice at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. dos Anjos won the bout in a split decision over Felder.

Dos Anjos was expected to face Islam Makhachev at UFC 254. However, due to a positive coronavirus test by dos Anjos, he was pulled from the fight.

The fight was then pushed back. On November 8th, Makhachev suffered a staph infection and was removed from the fight.

Felder accepted the fight on November 9th.

dos Anjos is now 30-13 in his MMA career. The Brazilian-born fighter picked up his 15th decision win.

He also has five knockouts and 10 submission wins in his career. The win over Felder snapped a two-fight losing streak for dos Anjos.

Before defeating Felder, he lost fights to Leon Edwards and Michael Chiesa — both unanimous decision losses.

This was dos Anjos’ first win since he defeated Kevin Lee at UFC Fight Night 152. He won that fight in a submission (arm-triangle choke).

The loss dropped UFC commentator Felder to 17-6. He has lost five fights by decision and just one by knockout.

The Pennsylvania-born fighter has dropped his past two fights — both by split decision. He also was defeated by Dan Hooker in February at UFC Fight Night 168.

Felder has not won since he defeated Edson Barboza at UFC 242 on September 7, 2019. He won that bout over Barboza by a split decision.
