José Vitor Leme has won the 2020 PBR World Championship. He won the Championship on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“Best night of my career crowning a perfect season,” Leme said in a Facebook post. “2020 World Champion, title confirmed in one of the greatest mounts in PBR history with 95.75 points.

“Thanks to everyone who cheers for me for the usual support. A special moment, which I’m proud to share with you.”

The 95.75-point score was his highest-marked ride of his career. He won the coveted gold buckle and the $1 million Monster Energy World Champion bonus.
The Ribas do Rio Pardon, Brazil born Bull Rider was aboard Woopaa (Barker Bucking Bulls) when he picked up the high mark.
Leme takes the crown from Jess Lockwood, who was the 2019 World Champion. It’s the second time in the past three years that a Brazilian has won the World Championship.

Kaique Pacheco won the 2018 World Championship.
In the past 20-years, Leme is the seven Brazilian Cowboy to become World Champion. Silvano Alves won three of those titles in 2011, 2012, and again in 2014.
Besides Alves and Leme, Adriano Moraes (twice), Ednei Caminhas, Guilherme Marchi, and Renato Nunes also won Championships.

“It’s hard to explain this moment – the best moment of my career,” Leme said from center stage in AT&T Stadium. “I worked a long time, and I came to show to everybody I deserved this. I’m so blessed to enjoy this.”
