Chicago Bears quarterback Nick Foles was injured late in the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. The loss was the least concern for the Bears.
Foles injured his hip or leg with less than two minutes left in the game. He was carted off the field in the Week 10 loss.
Despite not being sure of the severity of Foles’ injury, Bears head coach Matt Nagy believes that Foles will return to his team following the upcoming bye week. He did; however, admit that Foles is in a lot pain.
Mitchell Trubisky did not play in Monday’s game, as he was inactive. Tyler Bray — a six-year veteran — came into the game late to finish the game.
Trubisky was unavailable due to an injured shoulder. Right now, Bray is the only healthy quarterback on the Bears roster, as the team has the next week off.
“When I got out there right away, I wasn’t sure what it was,” said Nagy. “I didn’t know if it was his ribs or his shoulder or what. And then when I saw the amount of pain he was in on the ground … I hope he’s OK, but he was in a lot of pain. He’s a tough dude, and he was in a lot of pain. When you see that, and you’re down there with him, you feel for him just because you don’t know how bad it was.”
Before departing the game with the injury, Foles went 15 of 26 for 106 yards. He also had an interception.
If Foles cannot give it a go in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers, the most logical answer is Trubisky if he can even play with his shoulder injury.
