Kirk Cousins wins first MNF game, as Vikings defeat Bears

By Anthony Caruso III | Publisher The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. The Vikings won 19-13 over the Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. With the win, the Vikings improved to 4-5. Minnesota has won three straight games after starting the season with a 1-5 record. The Bears fell to 5-5. Chicago has dropped four straight games after going 5-1 in the first six games. Minnesota leads the all-time series 61-56-2. This win by the Vikings snapped a four-game win streak by the Bears that dated back to the 2018 season. In fact, the Vikings last win in the series before Monday night came on New Year’s Eve 2017 when Minnesota won 23-10. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins went 25 of 36 for 292 yards. He also had two touchdown passes and one interception. Dalvin Cook had 30 carries for 96 yards. Justin Jefferson had eight receptions for 135 yards. Bears quarterback Nick Foles went 15 of 26 for 106 yards. He also had one interception. After being knocked out of the game late in the fourth quarter due to an injury, Tyler Bray came in to go 1 of 5 for 18 yards. Cordarrelle Patterson had 12 carries for 30 yards. Allen Robinson II had six receptions for 43 yards. Adam Thielen had two touchdowns for the Vikings. Dan Bailey also made two field goals. Patterson returned a 104-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for the Bears. This was his eighth kickoff return for a touchdown. Chicago’s Cairo Santos also made two field goals.
