Watson throws 4 TDs as Texans pick up 2nd Thanksgiving Day win

The Houston Texans remained perfect on Thanksgiving. They defeated the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Thursday. 

The Texans won in a blowout 41-25 over the Lions. Both of the Texans wins on the holiday have come against the Lions.

In 2012, the Texans won 34-31 in overtime also at Ford Field.

Both teams are now 4-7 on the season. The Texans have won two straight, while the Lions have lost their last two games. 

This was Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford’s 10th Thanksgiving Day game. It was also Watson’s first game on Thanksgiving.

Houston leads the all-time series 4-1. The Texans have won four straight games in the series.

Detroit has not won in the series since a 28-16 loss on September 19, 2004.

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson went 17 of 25 for 318 yards. He had four touchdown passes. 

Duke Johnson had nine carries for 37 yards. Will Fuller V had six receptions for 171 yards and two touchdowns.

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford went 28 of 42 for 295 yards. He had one touchdown pass. 

Adrian Peterson had 15 carries for 55 yards and two touchdowns. T.J. Hockenson had five receptions for 89 yards. 

Fuller V had the aforementioned two touchdown receptions for the Texans. Johnson and C.J. Prosise also caught touchdown receptions for the team.

J.J. Watt also returned an interception for a touchdown. Ka’imi Fairbairn made two field goals. 

Peterson had the two rushing touchdowns for the Lions. Mohamed Sanu — who was added to the team’s active roster on Wednesday — also caught a touchdown reception. 

Matt Prater also made a field goal.

Both teams converted a two point conversion each towards the end of the game.
