WFT wins second straight vs. Cowboys with big Thanksgiving win

The Washington Football Team defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. The WFT won 41-16 over the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. 

With the win, the WFT now leads the woeful NFC East with four wins. At this time, all other teams in the Division have just three wins.

The Cowboys leads the all-time series 73-47-2. Washington has won both games during the 2020 season.

Before the October win, Dallas had won three straight games in the series.

The WFT now has a 4-7 record with the win. This was their first road win, as they are now 1-4 on the road.

The Cowboys fell to 3-8 this season. Dallas is 2-4 this season at home at Jerry’s World in Arlington.

Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith went 19 of 26 for 149 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception.

Rookie Antonio Gibson had 20 carries for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Terry McLaurin had seven receptions for 92 yards.

Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton went 25 for 35 for 215 yards. He also had one touchdown pass and one interception.

Ezekiel Elliott had 10 carries for 32 yards. Amari Cooper had six receptions for 112 yards.

Gibson also had the aforementioned three rushing touchdowns for the WFT. Logan Thomas also caught a touchdown reception.

Dustin Hopkins two field goals. Montez Sweat also had a 15-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Cooper had the Cowboys lone touchdown. Greg Zuerlein also made three field goals.
