Josh Hart announced on Friday that he is moving up to the Top Fuel ranks in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series in 2021. Hart will be a rookie during the upcoming season.
For the past several years, Hart competed in the Top Alcohol Dragster ranks in the NHRA’s Lucas Oil Northeast Division (Division 1). He recently sold his entire TAD operation to New Jersey native Karen Stalba.

Following some time away from the TAD competition, Stalba will return in 2021. She last competed in Top Alcohol Dragster in 2018.
With the move to Top Fuel, Hart will be a driver and a team owner. He was previously announced as a driver for Bob Vandergriff Racing.
However, those plans never materialized for Hart to compete with the team.
“The future is now for two time Top Alcohol Dragster U.S. Nationals winner Josh Hart,” Hart announced on his Facebook page. “Fearless Racing is proud to announce that Josh Hart will be stepping into the Pro Ranks of Top Fuel Dragster to compete against the fastest, most elite drivers on the planet. Hart plans to run this program in the 2021 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series not only as a driver but as a team owner!”
The plan is for Hart to make his Top Fuel debut at the historic Gatornationals. Every one of his first competition passes have come at the facility.
The NHRA plans to start their 2021 season with the Gatornationals in March.
