The New York Mets have made a blockbuster deal on Thursday. The team has acquired a star player in this deal.

The team has added shortstop Francisco Lindor and right-handed pitcher Carlos Carrasco in the deal. In exchange, the Cleveland Indians have received infielders Amed Rosario, and Andrés Giménez, along with right-handed pitcher Josh Wolf and outfielder Isaiah Greene.

Rosario had been with the Mets since the 2017 season. Giménez made his MLB debut during the 60-game MLB coronavirus shortened season. Both Wolf and Greene are prospects.

The Indians said that they would move the 27-year-old before the start of the 2021 season. And they found a taker with the Mets.

Lindor is a four-time All-Star. He is also a two-time Gold Glove Award winner.

He is set to become a free agent after the upcoming 2021 season. He spent six seasons with the Indians.

This past season, Lindor had a .258 batting average with eight home runs and 27 RBIs in 60 games. He also had 13 doubles in 236 at-bats.

In his career, the Puerto Rico native has a .285 batting average with 138 home runs and 411 RBIs in 777 games. He also has 191 doubles and 15 triples in 3,140 at-bats.

The 25-year-old Rosario spent the last four seasons with the Mets. He will not be a free agent until after the 2023 season.

This past season, he had a .252 batting average with four home runs and 15 RBIs in 46 games. He also had three doubles and one triple.

The 22-year-old Giménez appeared in 49 games during his MLB debut season. He made his first appearance in an MLB game on July 24th.

He had a .263 batting average with three home runs and 12 RBIs in the aforementioned 49 games. He had three doubles and two triples.
