Mo-Kan Dragway begins construction of concrete barrier wall

By Anthony Caruso III | Publisher

Mo-Kan Dragway in Kansas has begun the process of putting up a concrete barrier wall on their dragstrip. To offset the expenses, the track is selling advertisements on sections of the wall.

The concrete wall replaces the old steel barrier that had been in place. It appears one side of the concrete wall is complete, at least, according to the picture.

“Today we are thankful for all our racers, fans, and Sponsors!,” Mo-Kan Dragway said in a Facebook post. “Thanks to you, we are realizing a dream of a concrete wall at Mo-Kan! Without your loyalty and support, it would have not been possible! The forms came off the first 200 feet this morning and it looks great! Special thanks to Codi and the crew at CP Concrete!

“And a tip of the Mo-Kan hat to track manager Craig Blanton who has put in lots of extra hours. Also Matt and James Lee for providing muscle when needed! And a big Mo-Kan shout out to these fine businesses that bought space on the new wall!”

The track does have sponsorship lined up for much of the concrete wall. The following sponsors have already purchased ads onto the wall:
