Erb wins his second straight 2021 Wild West Shootout event

Late Model racer Tyler Erb has won the second-to-last night of the 15th annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout at Arizona Speedway on Saturday in Queen Creek, Arizona. Erb won the $5,000 grand prize with the win.

This is second straight Late Model events at the facility. Jonathan Davenport was the last Late Model competitor to win one of the Shootout races, which came on January 13th, that did not have the last name Erb.

Presently, Erb is second in the Wild West Shootout points. The Blairsville, Georgia native Davenport leads with 414 points.

The New Waverly, Texas native is just 24 points behind. He has 390 points.

Erb came from the fifth position to win the event. He also finished 1st in his heat race and was second in his Group B qualifying race.

Davenport – who started second in the race – finished second. He also was first in his heat race while finishing third in his Group B qualifier.

Ricky Thornton Jr. was the third-place finisher. The Adel, Iowa native started the race in the third position and finished in the same spot.

Thornton Jr. was first in his heat race. Also, he was second in his Group A qualifier.
