Kofoid wins second straight 2021 Wild Wing Shootout feature

For the second straight night, Michael “Buddy” Kofoid has been able to win the Schaeffer’s Oil Wild Wing Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at Arizona Speedway in San Tan Valley, Arizona. When he won on Friday, it was his first win of the season.

Due to inclement weather in the forecast, the schedule was moved up. Despite the schedule change, Kofoid was able to cash in at the end of the A Feature.

The Reinbold Underwood driver won $10,000 for being the feature winner after 35 laps. He’ll attempt to sweep the Wild Wing Shootout on Sunday with another $10,000 purse on the line.

Cory Eliason – who was the pole sitter for the feature – finished second in his No. 26 entry in the star-studded field. Carson Macedo finished in the third position.

Macedo was able to improve seven spots in the feature. For the second straight night, Macedo finished in the third spot.

Giovanni Scelzi and Rico Abreu rounded out the Top 5. Each one of the Top 5 finishers on Saturday were born in California.

D.J. Netto and Lance Dewease struggled in the feature. Netto lost 18 spots in the feature, while the Pennsylvania-based Dewease fell 17 spots.
