Dolphins agree to a proposed deal for Isaiah Wilson

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to a proposed agreement with a former first-round bust. The team has a deal in place with the Tennessee Titans regarding offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson.

The two teams will reportedly swap seventh-round draft picks. The deal cannot become official until the new league year on March 17th.

Wilson was the Titans first-round draft pick from the 2020 NFL Draft. His time in Tennessee was an absolute disaster.

Recently. Wilson posted on Twitter that he was done with football. If he does not pan out with the Dolphins, this is a low-risk deal.

Wilson has to prove to his new employer that he is worth the first-round talent once again. That’s, of course, if his heart is in the sport.

Clearly, during his lone season with the Titans, his heart was not in it. He appeared in just three offensive snaps.

He had two stints on the COVID-19 list. He also was hit with a DUI.

Wilson — if he makes the Dolphins roster — will be a backup lineman once he makes the roster. Four of the team’s starting lineman will be back with the team in 2021 barring a trade or release before the start of the new season.

He’ll be backing up Robert Hunt on the right side of the line should he make the 53-man roster. Wilson will also behind Jesse Davis and Jonathan Hubbard.
