There was a bad crash on Saturday night at the 52nd annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. The accident involved two Pro Modified drivers at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida.
Brandon Pesz was in a pairing with Dustin Nesloney in the fifth Pro Mod pair down the track. Everything was going as normal until Pesz began to lose control of his vehicle.
He veered across the lane and into Nesloney’s vehicle. There was a huge fire during the crash when the cars collided.

Pesz’s vehicle also flipped upside down. Despite the looks of the horrific crash, neither man was seriously injured.
They walked away from the crash. Both men will live to compete another day, as their vehicles were destroyed in the wreck.
Pesz has taken responsibility for the crash, according to Drag Illustrated.
“Well, that was a complete demonstration of how to drive like an idiot, (and) take out two badass hot rods,” Pesz said. “I got out of the groove and I just got done telling Jeff (Jones) if you get by the wall to lift, and I did the opposite of what I told him to do.”

Neither man qualified for the event. They’ll have to fix their cars before their next Pro Mod event that they compete in.
