Woman killed due to illegal street racing in West Hills

According to CBS Los Angeles, a woman was killed on Friday due to an illegal street racing race. The woman has not been identified at this time.

The incident happened around 4 pm PST. Besides the woman, two additional individuals were injured at the scene.

A male was transported to the hospital with “moderate injuries.” An unidentified person was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The bystander was injured when they tried to pull a person from one of the wrecked vehicles.

Once arriving on the scene, LAFD said they performed CPR on an adult female. She later died at the scene.

“Tragic incident in West Hills,” LAPD said in a tweet. “Preliminary info is that two to three cars were street racing when one lost control, colliding into an innocent female driver who was declared dead at the scene.

“Street racing is illegal and can have serious & deadly consequences. It’s not worth it.”

At this time, there is no other information available on the accident. An investigation is ongoing into the crash.

No charges have been filed at this time. However, that does not mean charges will not be filed in the future.
