Former Florida State Seminoles football star Travis Rudolph is a suspect in a murder case, according to CBS12.com. The shooting took place in Lake Park, Florida.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning. The authorities have described the crime scene as a double shooting.
There was a fight, police said, that sparked the shooting off of N. Redwood Drive. The South Florida Sun Sentinel is reporting that four people were shot at allegedly by Rudolph.
Once at the scene, the authorities found one person with gunshot wounds. A second person was found shot dead a distance away in West Palm Beach.
The investigation tied both individuals to the Lake Park crime scene. Through the investigation, Rudolph was identified as the suspect.
He has been charged with murder and attempted murder a firearm. He is scheduled to make his first appearance on Thursday.
The 25-year-old was an undrafted free agent during the 2017 NFL Draft. After being undrafted, he signed with the New York Giants.
At the beginning of the 2017 season, Rudolph was a practice squad player. He made his NFL debut on October 22nd, 2017, against the Seattle Seahawks.
He had three receptions for 32 yards in the game.
Rudolph made seven appearances during the 2017 season. He made one start.
He had eight receptions for 101 yards.
