Street Outlaws competitors have been waiting for this new season of No Prep Kings. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the entire 2020 season was canceled.
The 2021 season was confirmed nearly a month ago. Ryan Martin won the previous season in 2019 with the Fireball Camaro.
However, the Oklahoma native is not expected to use the Fireball Camaro for this season. He is expected to use a new Black and Gray vehicle that was supposed to be used for the 2020 season.
Martin announced this vehicle during the PRI event in December 2019.
While Martin will be using a new car, he’s not the only one. James “Doc” Love announced that his new car “Stunt Double” will be used for the series.
Love crashed his previous car last September during 2020 Street Outlaws Oklahoma City filming. He was one of several drivers to crash during the season that also included Shane McAlary and Chris “Kamikaze Chris” Day.
Eric “Boosted Ego” Bain will also be using a new vehicle for the series. Jeff Lutz will also be using his GTO after crashing his beloved 57 in May.
Kamikaze will also be using a new car if he participates in the series.
Martin is one of three champions to win the series. The previous two come from the State of Texas in James “Birdman” Finney and Mike Murillo.
Prior to his 2019 win, Martin was a contender for the championship. However, he eventually lost them late in the season.
In 2019, Martin withstood Team NOLA, who finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the standings, to win the championship. Kye Kelley, Scott Taylor, and Lizzy Musi finished in that order.
Musi became the first woman to win a race in the series. She had won three straight races early in the season before faltering late in the season.
The new tour will visit 12 spots from June through October around the country. The championship may be awarded at the Texas Motorplex at the final race of the season in Ennis, Texas.
All of the dates have been announced except for one. Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington in September has not been confirmed yet. It’ll be announced at a later date.
