The Cleveland Browns have re-signed running back Nick Chubb. He has received a three-year extension.
He was entering the final year of his rookie contract with the team. Now, he’s tied to the team for the next four seasons.
Chubb can make upwards of $36.6 million over the lifetime of his contract. He is guaranteed to make $20 million.
“Let’s go Cleveland,” Chubb said in an Instagram post after signing his extension.
He is now signed through the 2024 season. When he’s on the field, Chubb is one of the best running backs in the league.
He has rushed for more than 1,000 yards the past two seasons.
Last season, Chubb was the seventh-best running back in the league. He had 1,067 rushing yards through 12 starts.
In his short career, Chubb has appeared in 44 games. He has made 37 starts, including 28 starts over the past two seasons.
Chubb has carried the ball 680 times for 3,557 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also has had 72 receptions for 577 yards and two touchdowns.
Both of his touchdown receptions came during his rookie season in 2018.
