The no. 5 Georgia Bulldogs defeated the No. 3 Clemson Tigers on Saturday night. The Bulldogs won 10-3 over the Tigers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers fell to 0-1.
Bulldogs quarterback J.T. Daniels went 22 of 30 for 135 yards. He also threw an interception.
Zamir White had 13 carries for 74 yards. Brock Bowers had six receptions for 43 yards.
Tigers quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei went 19 of 37 for 178 yards. Like Daniels, he also threw an interception.
Will Shipley and Kobe Pace led the team with four carries for seven yards. Joseph Ngata had six receptions for 110 yards.
Both teams traded field goals in the second half. Bulldogs kicker Jack Podlesny made a 22-yard field goal.
Tigers kicker B.T. Potter made a 22-yard field goal.
Georgia led 7-0 at halftime. Christopher Smith scored on a 74-yard interception return for a touchdown.
