The Heisman Trophy is the most prestigious award in College Football. To some, it is the most prestigious award in all of sports.
It will be awarded on Saturday, December 11th.
The award has traditionally been awarded on the second Saturday in December in New York City. For the first time in two years, the award will be presented in person.

The Heisman Trophy, which has been awarded since 1935, had to go virtual in 2020, much like the rest of the world, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event was also moved to January when former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver DeVonta Smith won it.
Smith broke a run by quarterbacks to win the award. He was the first non-quarterback to win the award since 2015 when former Crimson Tide running back Derrick Henry received the honor.
Another Crimson Tide player is in the running for the award this year. Quarterback Bryce Young is considered the favorite for the award.

If Young wins, they’ll be the latest team to win the award in back-to-back years. Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterbacks Baker Mayfield won in 2017.
Kyler Murray followed up with an award of his own in 2018.
Young has gone 315 of 463 for 4,322 yards. He has thrown 43 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

Young —could be the first Alabama quarterback to win the award if he wins it — also has 71 carries for 31 yards. He has scored three additional rushing touchdowns.
The Heisman odds at Sports Betting Dime are showing Bryce Young’s as a massive -3417 favorite, in the other hand, Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson is the distant second-favorite at +1800.
He’ll be joined in the Big Apple by two additional quarterbacks and a defensive end. Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud and Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett will make the trip.

Michigan Wolverines defensive end Aidan Hutchinson will also be there.
Stroud has gone 280 of 395 for 3,862 yards. He has thrown 38 touchdowns passes and five interceptions.
Hutchinson— who is the first defensive end to go to the Heisman since Chase Young in 2019 — has had 58 tackles, including 15.5 tackles for a loss. He also has 13 sacks.

He also has had two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three pass deflections. Pickett — who could be the second-oldest to win the award if he wins — has gone 334 for 497 for 4,319 yards. He has thrown 42 touchdown passes and seven interceptions.
He also has 98 carries for 233 yards and five rushing touchdowns.
