The No. 2 Texas Longhorns defeated the No. 7 Creighton Bluejays 72-67 on Thursday night. This game was part of the Big 12-Big East Battle at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
The Longhorns have improved to 5-0 in their new home. The team is now 6-0 overall.
Creighton fell to 6-2. The Bluejays dropped their last two games.

They also were defeated by the Arizona Wildcats on November 23rd before the Thanksgiving break. The Wildcats won 81-79.
Marcus Carr led the Longhorns with 19 points. He also had five rebounds and five assists.
The 19 points were a season-high for Care. His previous high was 18 points against the UT-Rio Grande Valley on November 26th.
Texas had four starters score in double figures. Overall, the starters had 59 points.
The bench reserves had 13 points. Christian Bishop led the bench with six points.
Ryan Kalkbrenner led the Bluejays with 20 points. He also had 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Kalkbrenner scored 20 or more points for the fourth time this season. He had a season-high 24 points on November 10th against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks.

The Creighton starters accounted for all 67 points. Like Texas, the Bluejays had four starters, who scored in double digits.
There were no bench points for the Bluejays. Four reserves came into the game; however, neither one of them scored any points.
