Trenton, NJ — The Princeton Tigers men’s basketball team defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Monday night. The Tigers won 68-61 over the Scarlet Knights at the CURE Insurance Arena.
This was the first game of the season for both teams. The Tigers improved to 1-0. The Scarlet Knights fell to 0-1.
Matt Allocco led the Tigers with 21 points. He went 9 of 13 from the field, including 1 of 2 from three-point range. He also was 2 for 2 from the free throw line.

Allocco also had nine rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal.
He was one of three starters in double figures. Xaivian Lee added 16 and Zach Martini contributed 10.
Princeton had just four bench points. Dalen Davis and Jack Scott scored two points apiece off the bench.
Clifford Omoruyi led the Scarlet Knights with 12 points. He was 6 of 12 from the field, including 0-for-1 from three-point range.
He also had seven rebounds, one assist, four blocks, and one steal.

Omoruyi was one of two starters, who scored double digits. Noah Fernandes added 10 points.
Unlike Princeton, Rutgers had more bench points, as they scored 29 points off the bench. Antwone Woolfolk led the reserves with 10 points.
