Burlington City, NJ — Pro Wrestling has returned to Burlington City. Super Powers of Wrestling (SPO Pro Wrestling) held its inaugural event on New Year’s Eve at the Mitchell Fire Company.
While family and friends are preparing to get together to celebrate the New Year, this wrestling promotion decided to have its first show hours before the Ball Dropped in New York City.
The show featured many amateur wrestlers; however, mainstream wrestlers Homicide and Tommy Dreamer were part of the show. Wrestler Johnny Kashmere and Mitch Stein founded the company this year.

Their inaugural event took place in the hometown of well-known wrestler D’Lo Brown. Accie Julius Connor — known by his stage name D’Lo Brown — began his wrestling career in New Jersey when he was known as “Ace the Animal.”
He worked for several wrestling promotions before eventually landing with the World Wrestling Federation in 1997. He has also worked for NWA Total Nonstop Action (TNA Wrestling), All Japan Pro Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and Pro Wrestling Noah.
The Silk City Kings (Bulldog Pittman and Kenny Bengal) defeated The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant) in the first fight on the card. Then in a single’s match, Lucky 13 defeated Face.
In another single’s match, Christina Marie and Rebecca J. Scott resulted in a no-contest. Following this match, Joe Clean and Malcom Calloway defeated Live Danger (LiveWire Charlie and Ziggy Danger).

Longtime wrestler Tommy Dreamer defeated Nate Wallace in a single’s match. Channing Decker also defeated HC Loc in another single’s match.
For the SPO Tag Team Championship, The BackSeat Boyz (JP Grayson and Tommy Grayson) defeated Golden Era (Brett Waters and Sean Vanore). Then, in the final match, Homicide won the SPO Heavyweight Championship with a win over Kashmere.
