He had been missing since June 2nd. We had posted about him being missing earlier this week.

“Well ole man, I can’t sit here and say that I was proud of how you handled things in life,” Kelley said in a Facebook post. “I also can’t sit here and say that I’m not sad that the day u gave up the party life and decided to be in mine and Lacey’s life for real never came. I’ll always regret that I had given up on u and accepted that ur addiction would never bring you home to us. I always had this dream that one day the man that got me into Hotrod’s and the man I looked up to as a child would surface back up and we would live this adventure filled racing life together but you’ve been called home and for that, I’ll have a hole on my heart forever.

“I trust that god always makes the right calls and I hope to see u on the other side. Maybe then u can be the crew chief I always dreamed of and I can be the son that makes u proud everytime I let go of the button. There’s so many things I wanted to tell you, ask you, brag to you about over the yrs but atleast now I know you’ll be riding shotgun and looking over me every pass I make and everywhere I go. I’ve learned to be a better man by watching what u fought thru in life and I know it was miserable for u but if u didn’t leave me with anything else I thank u for leaving me with that …..I love you dad and I’m going to miss u ….. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN ~love Kye~”

The authorities have been searching for Kelley since his disappearance. The younger Kelley was thankful for their efforts.

“Big thanks to Pike County Sheriff’s Office for going above and beyond the passed 8 days searching in those woods for my dad!,” Kelley said. “Thanks for bringing him home.”
