D.C. United defeats Nashville SC for the first time

D.C. United have defeated Nashville SC on Saturday. D.C. United won 2-1 over Nashville SC at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. 

This was D.C. United’s fifth win on the season. The team is 5-8-11 overall.

Nashville SC fell to 6-8-9.

D.C. United picked up their first win against Nashville SC. This was their seventh meeting between the teams.

Nashville SC had won four games. There were also two draws.

D.C. United picked up their first win since May. That’s when they won 3-2 against the Atlanta United on May 11th. 

Since then, D.C. had gone on an 11-game winless streak.

D.C. United scored both goals in the second half. The same man scored the brace. 

Cristián Dajome scored for the first time in the 50th minute. Five minutes later, he scored his second goal. 

Dajome is in his second season with D.C. United. The 30-year-old has three goals on the season.

He used his right foot to beat Nashville SC goalkeeper Joe Willis both times.

Dajome also scored against the Philadelphia Union on May 4th. That’s when he beat keeper Oliver Semmle with his right foot for the goal.

Tyler Boyd gave Nashville SC the lead early. He scored in the 19th minute. 

Two Yellow Cards were given out. Nashville SC’s Sam Surridge received a yellow card in the 73rd minute. 

D.C. United’s Matti Peltola received a yellow card in the 84th minute.
