Former NFL players Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell deny having CTE. These two players were previously teammates with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

They have also made bonehead decisions in their career. For those that may not know, CTE is Chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

It is a degenerative disease that impacts people, who have had repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries. Often, this is found in athletes and others, who have been exposed to concussions and repeated head impacts, according to the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Now, the two players have started a podcast.

“Shoot, I don’t think you have CTE,” Bell said after initially after laughing at Brown’s question if he has CTE. Brown then asks Bell if he has CTE and he says, “I don’t have CTE, but we’ll never know until we die.”

Then, Brown asks Bell what is CTE? What do you think about CTE? “Basically, that’s when you forget sh*t,” Bell said.

Brown then says, “CTE is a bunch of traumas that we go through as people.” Then, they talk about brain damage. Brown then says you can’t live with brain damage.

“CTE could be a bunch of different things that people go through,” Brown said. “As you explained, you was four years old when your uncle made you play D-Line (Defensive Line) and O-Line (Offensive Line) for three years. That’s automatic trauma. Any kind having to go through that is building some type of trauma then as a kid, you become more aggressive and anger. As a kid and person, we all grow with our traumas. Me and you, our dads not being there. Some of these intangibles make us great, but hurt and hinder us in some situations. It makes us stubborn.

“We aint getting love from our pops so forget that person. It’s already trauma from how people treated you. That’s why we started this show so we could address some of those. You’re my friend, I really care about you. I want to see you live forever. You have what? Eight kids? Seven kids? And we have to be there for them. We have to address some of the things we go through.”
