NASCAR driver Jeffrey Earnhardt will have a special tribute to his former girlfriend with him this weekend. Earnhardt will be competing at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan.

He will honor Lizzy Musi, the popular drag racing star, with his Off Axis painted helmet. According to Pat Musi Racing Engines, his helmet will look similar to the one that Musi used earlier this year on the Street Outlaws No Prep Kings tour except a change.

Musi had Marilyn Monroe on the back of her helmet. Earnhardt put Musi in that spot.

“Can’t thank Art by Noel McEwen and Off Axis Paint enough for such an amazing job on this helmet in memory of Lizzy Musi,” Jeffery Earnhardt posted on Facebook. “She meant so much to so many and she meant the world to me. Excited to rock it this weekend and the rest of the season. Got my angel riding with me. #lizzystrong #lizzymusi #helmet #airbrush #cancersucks”

Earnhardt and Musi had been dating. They went public with their relationship earlier this year.

She had broken up with Kye Kelley, a fellow Street Outlaws No Prep Kings star, last year after an engagement.

Musi passed away at the end of June. She had been battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer at the time of her passing.

She stepped away from the No Prep Kings tour in May. She went to one Winners Bracket final round this season.

Justin Swanstrom defeated Musi in the final round at Empire Dragway in New York. That would ultimately be her final race with the tour.

Her death came right before the Cordova, Illinois No Prep Kings race. As the Heavens knew they needed time, a rain delay caused the event to go from a Friday-Saturday event to a Saturday-Sunday event.

Earnhardt will be driving the No. 26 Sam Hunt Racing entry during the NASCAR Xfinity Series Cabo Wabo on Saturday.

This will be his first Xfinity Series race since Talladega in April. It’ll be his third Xfinity Series race of the season.
