The Atlanta Falcons escaped South Philadelphia with a one-point win. The Falcons defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 22-21 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
With the win, the Falcons improved to 1-1 on the season. The loss dropped the Eagles to 1-1.

According to The Football Database, this was the 22nd NFL game featuring a 22-21 score. It was the first one in nearly four years.

The Eagles were also featured in the last win, winning 22-21 over the New York Giants. That happened on October 22nd, 2020.
Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins went 20 of 29 for 241 yards. He had two touchdown passes.
Bijan Robinson had 14 carries for 97 yards. Drake London had six receptions for 54 yards and one touchdown.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts went 23 of 30 for 183 yards. He had one touchdown and one interception.
Saquon Barkley had 22 carries for 95 yards. DeVonta Smith had seven receptions for 76 yards and one touchdown.
The Falcons outscored the Eagles 16-14 in the second half. Cousins hit London for the game-winning seven-yard touchdown reception. Cousins also hit Darnell Mooney for a 41-yard touchdown reception.
Younghoe Koo also made a 34-yard field goal.

Eagles’ Hurts scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Following Hurts’ score, the team converted a two-point conversion.
Jake Elliott also made two field goals. Elliott made a 29-yard field goal. He also made a 28-yard field goal.
The Eagles led 7-6 at halftime. Hurts hit Smith for a seven-yard touchdown reception.
Koo also made two field goals. He first made a 39-yard field goal. Then, he made a 22-yard field goal.
