Jets! Rodgers led his team to a win over the Patriots

The New York Jets have blown out the New England Patriots. The Jets won 24-3 over the Patriots at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

With the win, the Jets snapped a long home losing streak against the Patriots that dated back to the 2015 season. New York was favored in the game, according to DraftKings.

The Jets are now 2-1 on the season. New York has won their last two games after losing their season-opener to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.

The Patriots are 1-2. New England has dropped its last two games.

In the first game of the losing streak, the team fell 23-20 to the Seattle Seahawks. Then, they suffered this 21-point loss to the Jets.

Jets quarterback Aaron Rogers went 27 of 35 for 281 yards. He had two touchdown passes.

Braelon Allen had 11 carries for 55 yards. Tyler Conklin had five receptions for 93 yards.

Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett went 12 of 18 for 98 yards.

Antonio Gibson had five carries for 29 yards. DeMario Douglas had seven receptions for 69 yards.

Rookie Drake Maye came in late as Brissett struggled. Maye, who was the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, went 4 of 8 for 22 yards.

The Jets outscored the Patriots 10-0 in the second half. Rodgers hit Garrett Wilson for a two-yard touchdown reception.

Greg Zuerlein also made a 28-yard field goal.

New York led 14-3 at halftime. Rodgers hit Allen Lazard for a 10-yard touchdown reception.

Breece Hall also scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Patriots kicker Joey Slye made a 44-yard field goal at the 4-minute mark in the second quarter.
