Eagles escape with 3-point win over the Saints

The Philadelphia Eagles picked up their second win of the season. They defeated the New Orleans Saints 15-12 on Sunday afternoon at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

With the win, the Eagles improved to 2-1 overall. Both of their wins have come on the road.

The Saints suffered its first loss, dropping to 2-1.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts went 29 of 38 for 311 yards. He also had one interception. 

Saquon Barkley had 17 carries for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Dallas Goedert had 10 receptions for 170 yards. 

Saints quarterback Derek Carr went 14 of 25 for 142 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception. 

Alvin Kamara had 26 carries for 87 yards. Chris Olave had six receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown. 

The Eagles outscored the Saints 15-9 in the second half. All of their 15 points came in the fourth quarter. 

Barkley scored on a 65-yard rushing touchdown. He also scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown. 

With 1:01 left, the Eagles went for the two-point conversion. Barkley converted the two-point play.

Saints’ Carr hit Olave for a 13-yard touchdown pass. Their two-point conversion failed. 

Blake Grupe also made a 38-yard field goal.

The Saints led 3-0 at halftime. Grupe also made a 34-yard field goal in the first quarter.
