The New York Jets fired their head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday morning. But he may not be the only one on the hot seat.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has struggled to guide the team. The past two seasons have not lived up to expectations.

In their last 13 games, the Eagles are just 5-8. However, since last December, the team has gone 3-8.

The team is 2-2 so far this season. And the pressure is definitely on Sirianni.

The Eagles are coming off of a bye. However, a loss to the woeful Cleveland Browns on Sunday in Philadelphia and the heat will get even hotter.

They’re playing a team in the Browns, who have lost to the New York Giants and the Washington Commanders already. And during a play in their loss to the Commanders on Sunday, Deshaun Watson quit on his team.

He walked off the field as his teammates were still in the huddle in the third quarter. This stunned head coach Kevin Stefanski as he looked like he was shocked when Watson began his way to the sidelines.

And it first appeared like the Browns would call a timeout but ultimately, they got hit with a penalty.

However — if Watson can look like he did with the Houston Texans several years ago – it could potentially be enough for their second win of the season. And then Eagles fans would be calling for Sirianni to go.

In the offseason, the Eagles decided to bring in two veteran coordinators. Kellen Moore was hired as the offensive coordinator.

Vic Fangio was hired as the defensive coordinator. Sirianni was supposed to “oversee” the entire team and have little-to-no play calling as Moore was in charge.

By doing this, it was supposed to have saved his job. It gave him a few more months to lead the team.

If there is another blowout loss — this time to the Browns – Sirianni would be gone. Or closer to the exit.

The Eagles were beaten down by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Game 4. The Buccaneers won 33-16.

The Buccaneers won in over 100 degrees heat. Eagles fans would say that they only won because the team did not have A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, or Lane Johnson due to injuries.

All three key players are expected to play against the Browns.

But against the Browns and coming off a bye week, those excuses may not be there. And it’ll mean that the Eagles are worse off than initially thought.

Many pundits had the Eagles as a playoff contender, who may make a run at the Super Bowl, especially after signing Saquon Barkley in the off-season..

According to statmuse.com, the Eagles have the 18th-best offense in the league under Moore. They are averaging 21.5 points per game.

The team is averaging 2.5 touchdowns per game in their last 13 games. They are averaging just 20.2 first downs, as well.
