Louisiana Tech wins big over Middle Tennessee for sixth win in the series

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs defeated the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Thursday night. The Bulldogs won 48-21 over the Blue Raiders at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston, Louisiana.

The win improved the Bulldogs record to 2-3 overall. They are now 1-1 in conference play. 

The Blue Raiders fell to 1-5 overall. They are now 0-2 within the Conference USA.

Louisiana Tech improved to 6-3 all-time in the series. Middle Tennessee had won the last game in the series before Thursday when they won 31-23 on October 10th, 2023, when they won in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The Bulldogs last won at home in 2022. They won 40-24 in Louisiana over the Blue Raiders on November 5th, 2022.

Bulldogs quarterback Evan Bullock went 18 of 25 for 290 yards. He had five touchdown passes.

Omiri Wiggins had eight carries for 49 yards. Tru Edwards had six receptions for 127 yards and one touchdown.

Blue Raiders quarterback Nicholas Vattiato went 24 of 39 for 276 yards. He had two touchdown passes and one interception.

Jekail Middlebrook had five carries for 30 yards. Omari Kelly had eight receptions for 103 yards.

Louisiana Tech outscored Middle Tennessee 14-7 in the second half. Bullock hit Edwards for a 75-yard touchdown reception. Marquis Crosby hit Solo Lewis for a 19-yard touchdown reception.

Middle Tennessee’s Jaiden Credle scored on an eight-yard rushing touchdown.

The Bulldogs led 34-14 at halftime. Bullock scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Bullock also hit Jay Wilkerson for a 20-yard rushing touchdown.

Bullock hit Wiggins for a 16-yard touchdown reception. Bullock hit Jimmy Holiday for a 15-yard touchdown reception.

Bullock connected with Wiggins for a five-yard touchdown reception.

Blue Raiders’ Vattiato hit Middlebrook for a 24-yard touchdown reception. Vattiato also hit Holden Willis for an 18-yard touchdown reception.
