The Delaware Blue Hens defeated the Maine Black Bears on Saturday. The Blue Hens won 44-21 over the Black Bears at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware.
The Blue Hens improved to 6-0 on the season. The Black Bears fell to 3-3.

In addition, in four of the Blue Hens wins this season, they have had four blowout wins. Just two of their wins have come by a touchdown.

Delaware has won four straight games in the series. They lead the all-time series 27-11.
However, in games played in this rivalry in the First State, the Blue Hens are 18-6 at Delaware Stadium.
Delaware quarterback Zach Marker went 20 of 31 for 279 yards. He had three touchdown passes.
Quincy Watson had 12 carries for 66 yards and one touchdown. Phil Lutz had five receptions for 133 yards and one touchdown.
Maine quarterback Carter Peevy went 15 of 25 for 147 yards. He had one touchdown pass and three interceptions.
Brian Santana-Fis had six carries for 31 yards. Montigo Moss had four receptions for 51 yards and one touchdown.
Delaware had a big second half. They scored 31 points in the second stanza.
Maine; however, scored just seven points.

Watson scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown. Ty Davis scored on a 34-yard interception for a touchdown.
Marker hit Jake Thaw for a four-yard touchdown reception. Jonathan Silver scored in a 40-yard rushing touchdown.
Nate Reed also made a 23-yard field goal.
Maine’s Tavion Banks scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Maine led 14-13 in the first half. Jaharie Martin scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.
Peevy hit Moss for a 19-yard touchdown receptions.
Delaware’s Marker hit Lutz for a 56-yard touchdown reception. Marker also connected with Thaw for a six-yard touchdown reception.
