We do not know if this is indeed the case, but some college coaches have not been happy with the new landscape of college sports. This has caused some coaches to retire, or even take assistant coaching roles.

He was also 16-11 in the Men’s Basketball Tournament and 4-3 in the NIT. In 2019, Bennett guided the Cavaliers to the Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship.
During his tenure in Charlottesville, Virginia, Bennett guided his team to six ACC regular season championships. These came in 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023.
They also won the ACC Tournament in 2014 and 2018.
