San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has suffered a torn ACL. He also suffered a torn MCL in the same leg against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Aiyuk will need surgery. He will miss the rest of the 2024 season.
This is another tough blow for the 49ers, who have been hit by injuries this season. The team has not seen star running back Christian McCaffrey play this season.

We reported that we may not return until early November at the earliest.
The team has also had to deal with injuries to fellow key players Deebo Samuel and George Kittle.
Aiyuk was a training camp holdout as he battled for a new contract. Right before Labor Day weekend, he agreed to a multi-year extension with the team.
He missed significant time with the contract dispute. Then, his play suffered on the field.
He had just two catches for 23 yards against the Chiefs. On the season, Aiyuk had 25 receptions for 374 yards.
Aiyuk had just one season where he surpassed 100 receiving yards. In Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals, he had eight receptions for 147 yards.

As Aiyuk is sidelined, the 49ers may look at the free agent and trade market to find some help. According to Ourlads.com, Chris Conley will be the starting right wide receiver in Aiyuk’s spot.
Ronnie Bell is listed as the backup behind Conley.
