According to the Carolina Panthers, starting quarterback Andy Dalton was involved in an accident on Tuesday afternoon. Dalton was in the vehicle with his wife, three children, and a dog at the time of the crash.

We have very little details on the accident. We do not know if Dalton will have to miss time. Or how serious or not serious the accident was.

Typically, Tuesdays are an off day for NFL players unless they play on Monday Night Football.

The Panthers said that Dalton nor his family were transported to a nearby hospital. The team said that the quarterback would be evaluated by the team medical staff.

The Panthers have a road game on Sunday. The 1-6 Panthers travel to Denver, Colorado to play the Denver Broncos at 4:25 pm EST.

At press time, it is not clear if Dalton will get the start. Or first-year head coach Dave Canales will go back to former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young, who he benched in September.

Since being the Panthers starting quarterback, Dalton has gone 1-4 in five starts. He has made six appearances in the season.

The 36-year-old has gone 84-82-2 in his career in 14 seasons. This is his second season with the Panthers.

On the season, Dalton has gone 106 of 160 for 989 yards. Dalton has thrown seven touchdown passes and had six interceptions.

On Sunday, the Washington Commanders blew out the Panthers 40-7. Dalton went 11 of 16 for 93 yards. He had two interceptions.
