The New York Yankees have extended the World Series. At least for one more game.

The Yankees bats came alive in Game 4. The Yankees won 11-4 over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.

With the win, the Dodgers still lead the series; however, it is now 3-1.

The teams will play Game 5 of the series on Wednesday night. This will be the final game of the series at Yankee Stadium.

If necessary, the following two games will be held at Dodger Stadium.

Fox Sports said that the teams, who have been down 3-0 in the World Series, were swept 21 times of the 24 occurrences. The other three times, the series ended following the fifth game.

The Dodgers used Game 4 as a bullpen game. And it came back to haunt the team. Everything was going well until the bottom of the third inning when Anthony Volpe hit a grand slam off Dodgers pitcher Daniel Hudson, who pitched just one inning.

Hudson lasted one inning as the score went from 2-1 to 5-2 following Volpe’s blast. But it was enough for the Yankees bats to come alive.

The Dodgers cut the lead to one in the top of the fifth inning. Will Smith hit a 390-foot home run.

Freddie Freeman — who hit a home run in his sixth consecutive World Series game, which is an MLB record — hit into a fielder’s choice. Tommy Edman scored to make it 5-4.

Then, it was all the Yankees. Austin Wells hit a 390-foot home run to deep right field to make it 6-4.

Then, in the bottom of the eighth, Alex Verdugo reached on a fielder’s choice. This allowed Volpe to score and increase the score to 7-4.

Gleyber Torres hit a three-run home run to deep center field. The 390-foot home run made the score 10-4.

Aaron Judge — who has struggled in the World Series — singled to left center during his 8th-inning at-bat. This allowed Juan Soto to score to make it 11-4.

Yankees pitcher Clay Holmes received the win. Holmes — who was the second pitcher out of the pen for the team — went 1 1/3 innings. He struck out two batters on 13 pitches.

Hudson received the loss for the Dodgers. The 37-year-old was the first pitcher out of the bullpen and allowed the aforementioned grand slam to Volpe.

He allowed two hits on the 20 pitches. Hudson also walked one and struck out a batter.
