Eagles beat former coach Pederson, Jaguars 28-23

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Eagles defeated the Jaguars 28-23 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

With the win, the Eagles improved to 6-2 overall. The Jaguars fell to 2-7 overall.

The win also marked a win over their former Super Bowl-winning head coach Doug Pederson, who has led the Jaguars for the past several seasons. Pederson’s job is reportedly on the hot seat.

Pederson led the Eagles from 2016 through 2020. He has been the Jaguars head coach since 2022.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts went 18 of 24 for 230 yards. He had two touchdown passes.

Saquon Barkley had 27 carries for 159 yards and one touchdown. DeVonta Smith had four receptions for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence went 16 of 31 for 169 yards. He had two interceptions.

Travis Etienne had three carries for 24 yards. Evan Engram had five receptions for 45 yards.

The Jaguars outscored the Eagles 23-12 in the second half. Lawrence scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown. Lawrence also scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Following Lawrence’s one-yard rushing touchdown, Lawrence hit Brian Thomas to convert the two-point play.

Travon Walker also scored on a 35-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Following the play, Lawrence hit Engram to convert the two-point play.

Eagles’ Hurts scored on an 18-yard rushing touchdown. Hurts hit DeVonta Smith for a 25-yard touchdown reception.

The Eagles led 16-0 at halftime. Barkley scored on a 19-yard rushing touchdown.

Hurts hit Barkley for a 20-yard touchdown reception. Jake Elliott made a 43-yard field goal.
