Blue Hens remain perfect against the Camels, win 41-22 in Delaware

Newark, DE — The Delaware Blue Hens football team defeated the Campbell Camels on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Hens won 41-22 over the Camels at Delaware Stadium.

The Blue Hens are 2-0 against the Camels in the all-time series. They have outscored the Camels 86-29 in the two games.

Delaware is now 9-1 on the season. Since they are moving up to the FBS level in 2025 to Conference USA, the team is not ranked in the FCS polls nor eligible for the postseason.

Their season will officially conclude following the Villanova Wildcats game next Saturday in Pennsylvania.

Campbell fell to 3-8 on the season. The team has dropped their last three games.

Blue Hens quarterback Nick Minicucci went 16 of 26 for 230 yards. He had four touchdown passes and one interception.

Marcus Yarns had 17 carries for 134 yards. Phil Lutz had four receptions for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

Camels quarterback Mike Chandler II went 16 of 31 for 257 yards. He had two touchdown passes and two interceptions.

Mark Biggins had 13 carries for 44 yards and one touchdown. VJ Wilkins had five receptions for 172 yards and two touchdowns.

The Blue Hens held the Camels’ top receiver Sincere Brown to one reception for 13 yards. Through 11 games, Brown had 964 receiving yards.

The 13 yards were the fewest he had in a game all season. His previous lowest was 33 yards against N.C. Central Eagles on Saturday, October 5th.

The Blue Hens outscored the Camels 14-6 in the second half. Minicucci hit Jojo Bermudez for a 38-yard touchdown reception.

Minicucci hit Jake Thaw for a 17-yard touchdown reception.

Camels’ Biggins scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown.

Delaware led 27-16 at halftime. Minicucci scored on a six-yard rushing touchdown. Minicucci also hit Phil Lutz for a 33-yard touchdown reception.

Minicucci also hit Lutz for an eight-yard touchdown reception. Following this score, the Blue Hens converted a two-point conversion.

Minicucci also scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown.

Camels’ Chandler II hit Wilkins for a 75-yard touchdown reception. The duo also connected on a 66-yard touchdown reception.

Connor Lytton also made a 31-yard field goal.
