The No. 20 North Carolina Wolfpack women’s basketball team defeated the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 89-68 on Thursday night at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Wolfpack won their third game of the season. The team is now 3-2 overall.
The Chanticleers suffered its first loss of the season. They are now 4-1 overall.
North Carolina State has won both of its meetings between the schools in the series. They also won 98-46 on December 6th, 2020.
Aziaha James led the Wolfpack with 21 points. She also had eight rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
She was one of three players for the Wolfpack, who scored in double digits. Devyn Quigley had 20 points. Madison Hayes also contributed 18 points.
The Wolfpack had 36 bench points. Quigley led the bench with the aforementioned 20 points.
Savannah Brooks led the Chanticleers with 22 points. She also had seven rebounds, three assists, four steals, and one block.
Brooks was one of two Coastal Carolina players, who scored in double figures. Alancia Ramsey also had 14 points.
Brooks and Ramsey accounted for more than half of their points. The duo had 36 points while the rest of the team had 32 points.
The team had 16 bench points. Riley Stack led the bench with eight points.
